I know I love sweets and I do like to munch on something when Im working. Today im going to show you how to make delicious, quick protein bites with ingredients you already have !!
This Recipe has been tried and proven to be just the perfect amount of peanut butter and chocolate combined !! Giving you lots of protein and nutrients your body needs!
Rolled Oats are whole grain and so healthy for you, studies have shown that oats, lower blood sugar and reduced the risk of a heart attack. Oats contain, manganese, Phosphorus, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Folate, and much more.
Honey is a natural sweeter that has shown to have multiple health benefits such as an anti-inflammatory, increase your memory, and it's packed full of antioxidants.
Dark Chocolate is a good source of fiber, iron, zinc, magnesium and more.
Quick and Easy Protein Bites
So come on! Lets make this tasty snack that can be stored for long periods of time. Once you've tried this you're going to want to keep them on hand and you may want to add your own mix of flavor to them as well. Thats the fun part you get to make them just like you like them.
Your Ingredients
Here are the 4 simple ingredients you probably already have
2 1/2 cups of rolled Oats
1 cup of peanut butter or PB fit
2-3 tsp of honey
1 cup of dark chocolate chips
Directions
Here are the simple directions for making your Quick and Easy Protein Bites
Pour the Rolled oats into your mixing bowl
2. If you are using Peanut butter melt it in the microwave ( about 30 seconds), if your are using PB fit you can make it thinner so that your able to pour it over the oats and mix it together.
3. Add your honey and Chocolate chips
4. Mix it all together well until it is a thicker
5. Then roll your mixture into balls
6. These are ready to eat, you can store them in the fridge, but I like to put them in a freezer bag and put them in the freezer. They make yummy cool snacks to eat. It doesn't take them long to thaw out I just grab one or two and then put them back in the freezer.
These are a great healthy snack for the kids too. Feel free to add nuts, raisins, crumbled pretzels. Depending on the size you make your bites this recipe can make up to 20-25 bites.
They work great in a lunch box too! About the time the kids are ready to eat the bites have thawed and are ready. The best part is you know that you are providing them with a healthy snack that they will actually eat!
