links are amazon affiliate links and my Appalachian home can make a commission off them at no extra charge to you
My favorite memories of my Granny Lucille is getting to make the fork prints on peanut butter cookies!
They are my go to fix, when we need snacks at home or something sweet to put in the kids lunches boxes for the week.
You know me, simple is the only way, the simpler the method the more I like it!!
Ingredients
1 cup of Peanut Butter
1 egg
1/2 cup of brown sugar
Mix all your ingredients together in a bowl. It is okay to double the recipe if you are wanting to make more cookies
I have found that the light brown sugar does not work as well as regular brown sugar
Once you have your ingredients all mixed together, go ahead and dip out your batter in teaspoon fulls. You can also roll them into balls if you want perfect sized cookies.
Once you got your cookies rolled out. Go ahead and make your crissed crossed fork prints. This is a staple in making peanut butter cookies. lol!!
Once you have all your prints in the cookies you are going to bake them in the oven at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
Once they are done pull them out and let them cool, place on a cooling rack if you have one.
My favorite cooling racks are : click the picture for more information.
Once they have cooled, ENJOY!!
Try not to eat them all in one sitting.
