Buffalo chicken dip, chicken dip, easy appetizer
Do you love spicy chicken dip? Then you're going to love this Buffalo chicken dip recipe! As always keeping it simple here! With very few ingredients you'll be wanting to make this once a week. It is great to use as an appetizer or make it a meal. It never last long at my house.
Ingredients
2 quarts of canned chicken ( 4 lbs of cooked chicken)
1 16 oz package of cream cheese
3 cups of Mexican shredded cheese
2 cups of Texas Pete
Salt to taste
You can cook this down in a pot on the stove or you can cook it in a crock pot. If you are taking it to a family gathering taking it in a crockpot is a much better option it will stay warm.
Mix all your ingredients together.
You can choose to leave the shredded cheese out if you don't have any.
You can also use a mixture of hot sauces ( if you have a favorite )
If I have several bottles of Texas Pete, wing sauce, buffalo sauce and they are getting low, buffalo chicken dip is a great way to use up low bottles of sauce.
Cutting your cream cheese up will help it to melt down quicker and mix better.
Add your salt to taste if you want
Let it cook down and simmer for about 20 min. make sure you are stirring reguarly so the chicken does not stick to the bottom of the pot.
In the crockpot you will cook on low for 4 hours.
Remember your chicken is already cooked so you're mainly just cooking all the flavors together.
Once your dip is done you can serve it with chips, Danish with sour cream and jalapeños !!
This is sure to be a hit at your next gathering, or for supper!!
